Contacts Lists

Lists

Save a rule that finds the same kind of customers every time, and send a broadcast to them.

What it does

A list is a saved rule, not a fixed set of people. Each time you open it or send to it, WAGenie finds the people who match right now.

You can build a rule from tags, custom fields, how recently a contact was added, how long they have been quiet, how many paid orders they have, and what happened in an earlier broadcast.

Where to find it

ContactsLists tab

How to use it

  1. Open Contacts and choose the Lists tab. Press New list.
  2. Give the list a name.
  3. Press Add rule and choose a rule type: Tag, Custom field, Added recently, Quiet customer, Paid orders or Broadcast result. Fill in every part of the rule.
  4. Add more rules if you want. A person must match every rule.
  5. Look at Who is in this list. It shows how many people can get a broadcast and the first five names. Press Count again to refresh.
  6. Press Save list.
  7. To use it, press Send broadcast on the list, or choose Saved list as the audience when you create a broadcast.

Example for a business

A bookshop

A bookshop makes a list called Paid, quiet for 60 days with two rules: at least 1 paid order, and last message from the customer more than 60 days ago. Every few weeks the owner sends a new arrivals broadcast to that list. People who bought and then went quiet get a reason to come back.

Good to know

  • People who typed STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT are always left out. This cannot be turned off.
  • Rules combine with AND only. A list can have up to 10 rules, and a business can have up to 50 lists.
  • The people in a broadcast are fixed when you create the broadcast. If the list changes later, that broadcast keeps the people it had.
  • A list used in a broadcast can reach up to 100,000 people. If it is bigger, make the rules narrower.
  • How many people you can message in one day is still limited by your number’s messaging tier from Meta.
  • Deleting a list does not change broadcasts that already used it.
