Follow up Review requests

Review requests

Ask paying customers for a review a few days after they pay, with an approved template.

What it does

The Review request is one of the four default order automations. Three days after a payment, it sends an approved template that asks the customer for a review.

It skips anyone tagged Refunded. The tag is checked when the three days end, so a refund made during the wait stops the message.

How to use it

  1. Create a review template in Settings, Templates. Include your review link. Wait for Meta to approve it.
  2. Open Settings and choose Orders. Find Order automations and the Review request.
  3. Press Open. In Automations, choose the approved template in the Send Template step.
  4. Go back and switch the Review request on.
  5. To change the three days, change the Wait step in Automations.

Example for a business

A home bakery

A home bakery writes a template: Hi {{1}}, thank you for ordering. Would you tell us how the cake was? followed by a link to its Google page. It chooses the template in the Review request and switches it on. Three days after each paid order, the customer gets the message.

Good to know

  • It is off until you choose a template. It cannot be switched on before then.
  • It is sent after payment, not after delivery. Everyone who pays gets it, except people tagged Refunded.
  • Only an approved template works. The note on the card says Template approved or Template not approved.
  • Only the Owner can switch it on or off.
  • Deleting the Review request automation does not bring it back.
