Catalogue
Connect your Meta catalogue, send products in a chat, and read the baskets customers send back.
What it does
If you keep a catalogue in Meta, WAGenie reads it and copies the names, prices and stock into your Products list. WAGenie never changes your catalogue.
In a chat you can send one product, a few products, or a button that opens the whole catalogue. When a customer sends a basket back, it appears in the chat with a check against your catalogue.

How to use it
- First connect your WhatsApp number and save the WhatsApp Business Account ID in Settings, WhatsApp. WAGenie needs it to find your catalogue.
- Open Products. In the Meta catalogue strip, press Sync now. It copies the latest names, prices and stock from Meta. Do this again after you change anything in Meta.
- To send products, open a chat, open the + menu and choose Send products.
- Choose Choose products and tick the ones you want, or choose Whole catalogue. Edit the message to the customer if you like.
- Press Send. One product sends a single card. Two or more send a list.
- When a customer sends a basket, it shows in the chat as Basket from customer, with a note saying whether every item matches your catalogue.
Example for a business
A flower shop keeps its bouquets in a Meta catalogue. A customer asks what is available for a birthday. The florist opens Send products, picks four bouquets in stock, and sends them as a list. The customer adds two to a basket and sends it back. The chat shows the items, the quantities and the total.
Good to know
- You can send up to a set number of products in one message. The screen tells you when you reach it.
- A product that Meta has not approved for WhatsApp shows Not ready on WhatsApp. Your customer may not see it. You can still send. Meta checks again a few hours after a change.
- The shop icon and Add to basket button in the WhatsApp chat header are set in Meta. Press Check catalogue settings to see if each is On, Off or not confirmed. Sending products from WAGenie works even when the icon is hidden.
- The basket total uses your catalogue prices. If an item is not found, is out of stock or has a different price, the basket is marked Needs review.
- Products can be sent only while the customer’s 24 hour chat window is open.
- The catalogue must be connected to the same WhatsApp number.
