Typed product codes
A customer types a product code in the chat, and the order and payment link are made by themselves.
What it does
Many customers already know your product codes. If one types 1859, or 2 1859 for two of them, WAGenie finds the product in your catalogue, makes the order, and sends the payment link.
It reads a message as an order only when every part of it looks like a code, optionally with a quantity. A normal sentence is left for your team.
Where to find it
SettingsOrdersPayment link for typed product codes
How to use it
- Save your Razorpay keys first. See Payments with Razorpay.
- Make sure your products have codes. See Products.
- Open Settings and choose Orders. Find Payment link for typed product codes.
- Switch on Send the payment link when a product code is typed.
- It uses the same wording as the basket message. To change the wording, edit the message with the payment link in the basket part.
- Test it from another phone. Type a real code, for example 1859, and check the reply.
Example for a business
A uniform supplier
A school sends the supplier a message: 2 1859, 1 1902. The supplier’s catalogue has both codes. WAGenie makes one order with both items and sends one payment link. The school pays, and the order turns Paid.
Good to know
- Ways it is read: 1859, 2 1859, 2 x 1859, 1859 x 2. Several codes can be separated by a comma, a plus, a new line or the word and.
- A message longer than 200 characters is not read as an order.
- A number of one or two digits alone, such as 1 or 2, is read as an answer and not as a product.
- The code must really exist in your catalogue. Words like ok or thanks might look like codes, but nothing happens unless the catalogue has them.
- An item that is out of stock or has no price gets no link, and your team is told. One message makes one order.
- It runs before Flows, Automations and the AI auto reply, and it works in every chat. A message that contains one of your automation keywords is left to that automation. No AI is used in this step.
- Your order limits apply: the smallest order, the largest order, the products in one order and the quantity of one product. The Owner sets them in Settings, Team members, Roles and access.
- Only the Owner can switch this on or off.
