Number health
See how Meta rates your WhatsApp number, how many people you can message, and what your messages cost.
What it does
Number health shows your quality rating (High, Medium or Low), your messaging limit, and the messages sent and received today. A chart shows messages per day for the last 30 days.
It also lists every change Meta reports, and shows your usage and cost from Meta for the last 30 days.

How to use it
- Open the Dashboard and press Number health.
- Read the Quality rating. Keep it High by messaging only people who expect to hear from you.
- Read the Messaging limit. It is the number of people you can start a chat with in 24 hours.
- Press Refresh from Meta to get the latest values. The page says when the last update came.
- Scroll to Usage and cost to see what you spent on templates by type: Marketing, Utility, Authentication, and the free Service messages.
- Check This month. It shows how many free messages you have used and when the count starts again.
Example for a business
A fashion boutique
A boutique sends a big sale broadcast. The next day the owner opens Number health and sees the quality rating dropped to Low. A banner warns that Meta may lower the limit. The owner pauses broadcasts for a few days and only messages customers who recently bought.
Good to know
- Everyone on the team can see this page.
- A new number has no rating yet. Meta sends one after the number has sent messages.
- Usage needs the WhatsApp Business Account ID saved in Settings, WhatsApp. Without it, the page asks you to add it.
- Numbers from Meta can run a few hours behind.
- If a rating drops to Low, Meta may lower your messaging limit. Slow down broadcasts and check recent complaints.
- The first free service messages each month cost nothing. The page shows how many are left and the price of each extra one.
