What it does

The Orders page lists each order with its customer, items, source, amount and status. Four tiles at the top show money paid today, orders waiting for payment, orders that need review, and orders that failed, expired or were cancelled in the last 7 days.

Open an order to see its items, the customer, the payment details and a timeline of everything that happened.

How to use it

  1. To ask a customer for money, open the chat, open the + menu and choose Request payment.
  2. Choose products from your catalogue and set the quantity. Add a discount if your role allows it, or switch to a custom amount. A preview shows what the customer will see.
  3. Press Send payment request. The customer gets a message with a Pay now button, and an order is made.
  4. Open Orders to follow it. Search by order, name or phone, and filter by status and date range.
  5. Click an order to open it. Use Check payment status, Cancel payment link or Send a new link as needed.
  6. Fill in the Order fields and the Delivery note. Press Open chat to go to the customer.

Example for a business

A mug printing shop

A customer chats about 20 printed mugs. The owner opens Request payment, picks the mug, sets 20 as the quantity, gives 5 percent off and sends it. The order shows Waiting for payment. Ten minutes later it turns Paid. The owner writes Name to print on the order fields so the printer sees it.

Good to know

  • Statuses: Waiting for payment, Paid, Failed, Expired, Cancelled, Refunded and Needs review.
  • Needs review means the payment does not match the order, or it arrived after the order was closed. Check it in your Razorpay dashboard.
  • Sources show how the order started: Chat, Buy now, Ad, Website, AI, Basket or Typed code.
  • Prices are copied onto the order when you send it, so a later price change never changes an old order.
  • Only prices in rupees can be used. The smallest and largest order, the products in one order and the quantity are set by the Owner. See Team members and roles.
  • The payment request goes as a normal message, so the customer’s 24 hour chat window must be open.
  • Order fields are seen only by your team, never by the customer.
