Orders and money Baskets

Baskets

When a customer sends a basket from your WhatsApp catalogue, the order and payment link can be made by themselves.

On this page

What it does

A customer browses your catalogue in WhatsApp, adds items and sends the basket. The basket appears in your chat, and in your Notifications, with a check against your catalogue.

If you switch on automatic payment links, WAGenie makes the order and sends the payment link right after your Basket Thank You message.

How to use it

  1. Connect your catalogue. See Catalogue.
  2. Save your Razorpay keys. See Payments with Razorpay.
  3. Open Settings and choose Orders. Find Payment link for baskets.
  4. Switch on Send the payment link automatically.
  5. Edit the Message with the payment link if you like. You can use variables such as the order number, the items, the total and how long the link lasts. Press Save message. Use standard wording puts the default back.
  6. To send your own thank you first, make an automation with the Basket Received trigger. See Automations.

Example for a business

A grocery store

A customer builds a basket of rice, oil and lentils from the store’s catalogue and sends it. The store’s automation says Thank you, we are packing it. A moment later, a message arrives with the order number, the items, the total and a Pay now button. The customer pays and the order shows Paid.

Good to know

  • The order number and the link are always in the message that is sent. If your wording leaves them out, they are added.
  • The link is sent as a Pay now button under the message. If the button cannot be sent, the link is put in the text.
  • The total uses your catalogue prices. A basket with an item that is unknown, out of stock or has no price needs review.
  • Your order limits apply to baskets.
  • Without Razorpay keys no link can be made.
